Duchess of Cambridge’s parents arrive at Lindo Wing

The Duchess of Cambridge’s parents have arrived at the Lindo Wing this afternoon to meet their new grandchild.

Michael and Carole Middleton arriving in a black cab were greeted by a hospital official as they pulled up outside the Lindo Wing’s front doors. The couple stopped briefly and smiled to the cameras before going in to meet the new royal arrival.

It is speculated the couple may give a few comments when they leave the hospital later today.

The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a baby boy on Monday afternoon weighing 8Ibs 6oz. Kensington Palace revealed the new royal trio are “doing well” and may leave the hospital this evening but it could be as late as tomorrow morning.

The new parents also took the time to thank the hospital for its help and support during their stay at the hospital.

“We would like to thank the staff at the Lindo Wing and the whole hospital for the tremendous care the three of us have received,” a statement from the couple said. “We know it has been a very busy period for the hospital and we would like to thank everyone – staff, patients and visitors – for their understanding during this time.”

The new little Prince, who has not been named yet, will be titled ‘His Royal Highness Prince (name) of Cambridge, and becomes third-in-line for the throne after Prince Charles and Prince William
