Duke and Duchess of Cambridge top list of ideal Christmas guests

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have topped a list of ideal Christmas guests people would want to invite to their family dinner.

The new parents, who will spending the holidays with the Royals at Sandringham, have been voted the perfect dinner guests to spend the festive holidays with in a poll conduced by Personalise.co.uk.

Prince William and Kate held off stiff competition from Harry Potter author JK Rowling, Stephen Fry and Hollywood actor George Clooney.

This Christmas, the Duke and Duchess will be enjoying their first Christmas with son Prince George who was born in July.

The royal couple will spend Christmas Day with the Royal Family including the Queen, Prince Philip, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry.

The Royals’ Christmas celebrations will also include the Duke of York, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex.

William and Kate, who are expected to arrive at the Norfolk estate on Christmas Eve, will join the Royals at the the local church on the morning of the 25th before enjoying a private lunch.

Last year, a newly pregnant Kate and William spent Christmas with the Middleton at their family home in Berkshire.

This festive season will be time to relax for the new parents, who have increased their Royal workload since the arrival of Prince George.

In September, the Duke of Cambridge announced he would be quitting his military role to concentrate on his duties as the second-in-line.

It is believed in 2014, he and the Duchess of Cambridge will increase their Royal duties to support The Queen and Prince Philip.

William, Kate and Prince George are set to travel down under at some point in 2014 on a tour of Australia and New Zealand.
