Next month will mark the 12th anniversary of the September 11 attacks in the United States. It has been confirmed Prince William and Prince Harry will attend a charity event on the day to commemorate the attacks.

The brothers will first attend a British Summer themed party at Canary Wharf in London before going to a brokerage company’s trading floors to watch and assist employees with telephone calls.

The BGC partner’s day revenue will go to a number of charities including Skillforce of which William is a patron and Wellchild of which Harry is patron.

The BGC partner’s day is an annual event to remember 658 of the company employees who lost their lives on the 11th September 2001.

Prince Harry will also attend the Wellchild awards later that day at The Dorchester Hotel. The young Prince became the patron of the charity in 2007 to help the charity hold its commitment to ensure that sick children have the best quality of care. The fourth-in-line will then present the award for ‘most inspirational child’ as well as giving a speech at the end of the evening.

The following day, the Duke Of Cambridge, with the Duchess, will attend the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards as guests of honour. This will be Kate’s first public apparance since giving birth to Prince George in late July.
