The Duchess of Cornwall has revealed one-week-old Prince George is a really “beautiful baby.”
Camilla was attending the Sandringham Flower Show with Prince Charles on Wednesday when she was asked by 73-year-old Freda Aspinall about the new addition to the family.
The Duchess of Cornwall has been speaking fondly of newborn Prince George.
The local resident asked Camilla: “What does the baby look like?”
“She said that he looks absolutely gorgeous, that he doesn’t really look like anyone else at the moment but that he’s a really beautiful baby,” Freda said.
As they made their way around the flower show, both Charles and Camilla were greeted with gifts for the new Prince, including cards, flowers and teddy bears to pass on to the new parents Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge.
One gift included a shawl hand-made by Vice-President of the Sandringham branch of the Women’s Institute, Ann Whiting.
The member of the women’s group revealed the shawl had taken her six months to complete from two-ply wool.
“He said they’d be thrilled with it,” Ann said after giving it to the Prince of Wales.

Charles also joked to one well-wisher he would be taking on a “course to learn how to babysit” and that the new little Prince would call him “grandpa”.
Prince George is Charles’ first grandchild and he and Camilla visited the newborn at the Lindo Wing shortly before Prince William and Kate left the hospital.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently residing at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, as the couple settle into parenthood. William will return to royal duties on August 14, while it Kate is expected to announce new engagements in a “matter of weeks.”
