The Queen and The Duchess of Cornwall

Joint engagement for Her Majesty The Queen and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall on Tuesday.

Monday 28th October

Today Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh are hosting a reception for the 2013 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, which starts on 10th November in Sri Lanka.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal visits Leicestershire. As Patron of The Jubilee Woods Project, Princess Anne is touring the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Wood in Normanton le Heath. As Colonel‑in‑Chief of The Royal Army Veterinary Corps, Her Royal Highness is also opening new kennels at the Defence Animal Centre in Melton Mowbray.

Tuesday 29th October

Her Majesty The Queen and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall visit the Ebony Horse Club Community Riding Centre in London today. The Duchess is President of the Ebony Horse Club, which aims to help disadvantaged young people in London by teaching riding and horse care.

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is attending a reception and dinner at the World Islamic Economic Forum in London.

The Princess Royal visits Stafford today for the Supra Regional Conference. Her Royal Highness is attending as President of the Riding for the Disabled Association. Her Royal Highness is also supporting her charities at engagements in London. At Buckingham Palace, The Princess entertains Transaid and, at St. James’s Palace, Her Royal Highness is hosting a dinner for Voluntary Service Overseas.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester attends a luncheon in London today for the Pestalozzi International Village Trust. The Duke is Patron of the Trust, which offers scholarships in the United Kingdom to disadvantaged teenage students in developing countries.

Wednesday 30th October

The Duke of Edinburgh visits two youth clubs in London today as Patron of the Federation of London Youth Clubs. His Royal Highness also presents the Lord’s Taverners County Championship Medals at Buckingham Palace.

The Prince of Wales carries out engagements in London today. His Royal Highness hosts a reception at Clarence House celebrating the achievement of ‘Nursing Times’ Award winners and nominees. The Prince, Patron of The Royal Television Society, is also attending an RTS Craft Skills Master Class where students can learn about digital filming and editing from industry specialists.

The Princess Royal attends a board meeting of the British Olympic Association in London today. Her Royal Highness is President of the Association. Her Royal Highness also holds a reception for St. John Ambulance young achievers in Armoury House, and attends the launch of The Institution of Civil Engineers World Foundation Campaign.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester is in Hereford today to present The Queen’s Award for Enterprise to ETL Systems Ltd. The Duke also visits Lower Blakemere Farm as President of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and 22 Special Air Service Regiment at Stirling Lines.

Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra opens a new Care Home at Upper Brighton in Surrey today. The Princess is President of Royal Star and Garter Homes, founded during the First World War to care for injured servicemen, a role it continues today.

Thursday 31st October

Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh visit East Sussex today. Her Majesty and The Duke’s itinerary includes Bickerstaff’s at Newhaven Fish Market; the Youth Hostel Association South Downs Way; Harvey’s Brewery in Lewes; and The Keep Records Centre, Brighton.

The Princess Royal is in Oxfordshire today. As Colonel‑in‑Chief of The Royal Logistic Corps, The Princess is attending the 3 Logistic Support Regiment Medal Parade at Dalton Barracks.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester is in Gloucestershire. The Duchess is attending the Young Carers’ Forum day and visits charity Play Gloucestershire, which runs outdoor activities for children.

Friday 1st November

The Duke of Edinburgh visits Portsmouth today. His Royal Highness is touring the Mary Rose Trust Museum and the Museum of the Royal Navy.

Today the Princess Royal carries out engagements in London, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. In London, Her Royal Highness attends an event at Trinity House as Master of The Corporation of Trinity House – the body responsible for lighthouses and marine navigation around parts of the British Isles. In Wiltshire The Princess, President of The City and Guilds of London Institute, visits Daffodil Barn at Nursery Farm, Pewsey. In Gloucestershire, Her Royal Highness attends the Annual General Meeting of the Gloucestershire and North Avon Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs in Cirencester. The Princess is Patron of the Federation.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent attends a concert for The Royal Airforce Benevolent Fund.
