Her Majesty The Queen is at Balmoral Castle in Scotland for her summer holiday.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are visiting Chatham in Kent, where Their Royal Highnesses will see The Historic Dockyard. The Prince is Patron of The Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust. Royal Central’s News Subeditor Ellen Couzens previews the engagement.
Tuesday 30th July
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visit Salle in Norfolk. At the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Their Royal Highnesses are attending a Music in Country Churches concert. The Prince of Wales has attended over 40 such concerts and is Patron of the Music in Country Churches charitable trust. The Trust aims to raise money to donate to the churches where they hold concerts. The funds specifically help the churches with the expensive upkeep of fabrics.
Wednesday 31st July
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are visiting the Sandringham Flower Show at Sandringham House in Norfolk. The one-day show, in its 132nd year, donates its profits to local charities and has given over £500,000 since 1977. The show is set in the grounds of Sandringham Park and ticket holders are fortunate to also get access to Sandringham Gardens, Museum and Church. The Prince of Wales is Patron of The Sandringham Estate Cottage Horticultural Society, who run the event. The Prince, known as The Duke of Rothesay in Scotland, is also visiting Ross-shire. The itinerary of His Royal Highness includes Highland Fine Cheeses Limited and Glenmorangie Distillery.
Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and Countess of Wessex are attending the New Forest and Hampshire County Show at Brockenhurst in Hampshire. The Countess is Patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations.
Thursday 1st August
Today Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal is visiting St John Ambulance’s Regional Youth Camp in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. The Princess is Youth Commandant‑in‑Chief of St John Ambulance, which encourages young people to learn first aid and other skills. Her Royal Highness also visits The Barracks in Berwick‑Upon‑Tweed as Patron of The King’s Own Scottish Borderers Association. The Princess is attending the Laying Up Ceremony of the last King’s Own Scottish Borderers Colours.
