HRH The Duke of Rothesay is visiting Coronation Meadows on Monday
Monday 5th August
His Royal Highness The Duke of Rothesay is visiting Thurso to see links of greenland Coronation Meadow. The UK has lost 97% of its wildflower meadows in the last 75 years. Conservation organisation Plantlife International, with the support of its Patron The Duke of Rothesay, runs The Coronation Meadows Project. Celebrating the anniversary of The Queen’s coronation, the project aims to create a ‘flagship’ wildflower meadow in each county, which will become a source of seeds for future meadows. In Thurso The Duke will also visit Reids Bakery at Ormlie Industrial Estate.
The Princess Royal is visiting The Isle of Wight today and tomorrow. Today Her Royal Highness will see the Classic Boat Museum; open new facilities at the Corf Scout Camping Site; visit the John Cheverton Day Centre at Earl Mountbatten Hospice; and visit the offices of Cowes Week Limited. The Princess is also attending a dinner at The Royal London Yacht Club on the island to mark its 175th anniversary.
Tuesday 6th August
The Princess Royal is attending Cowes Week, an annual sailing regatta based at Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Her Royal Highness will watch some of the races and have lunch with the Royal Yacht Squadron at Cowes Castle.
